Two EFB Research Fellowships in the frames of the DGAP TRAIN Programme 2014

The German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) is launching a call for applications for the TRAIN Programme 2014 (Think Tanks Providing Research and Advice through Interaction and Networking) open to think tanks from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. Please find the call for applications and application form attached to this message or on the DGAP website. With regard to the application modalities, we would kindly ask you to take note of a number of new elements:

• While in previous editions of the TRAIN Programme policy papers have been developed in teams of two researchers, applications for TRAIN 2014 take place on an individual basis.
• Each participating researcher will be expected to draft a policy paper dealing with a topic which is relevant to the EU integration process of his/her respective country or the region as a whole.
• The thematic focus of this year’s TRAIN Programme is the rule of law. Applicant researchers are invited to submit a specific research proposal within this broad thematic frame.
• The TRAIN Programme 2014 will include two research fellowships by the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB), enabling interested participants to apply for a research stay of up to one month at DGAP in May/June 2014. For further information, please see the enclosed call.
