The second part of the LDP Summer Academy started in Austria with the visit to the Austrian Foreign Ministry. 30 LDP Fellows were welcomed by Minister for European and International Affairs, Mr. Michael Spindelegger.
A keynote speaker was political director in the ministry, Ambassador Stefan Lene, who presented his view of the overall situation in the Western Balkans countries and his estimation about the future developments of the region. LDP Fellows had a chance to exchange questions and opinions with Ambassador during the cocktail hosted by the Ministry.
LDP Fellows had also opportunity to visit the ERSTE Foundation, one of the Founding organizations of the European Fund for the Balkans. Fellows were welcomed by Boris Marte, Member of the ERSTE Board, Franz Karl Pruller, Programme Director, Knut Neumayer, Programme Director and Filip Radunovic, Programme Manager. ERSTE members presented their initiatives and projects developed directly by ERSTE or together with partners in three programmes: Social Development, Culture and Europe.
