Sonja Arnautović is the Administrative Manager of the European Fund for the Balkans since 2025. Before joining the EFB, she was working as a Translator and Language Expert in the Petlja Foundation, an NGO founded to promote and improve algorithmic literacy in Serbia.
Before Petlja, Sonja spent three years working in the Ministry of Finance, Department for EU Funds Management, as an Accreditation Officer in the system responsible for monitoring and supervision of the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA). After leaving in 2019, she continued working in the same sphere, firstly as a Language Assistant to the Resident Twinning Adviser on the twinning project “Support to Further development of Public Internal Financial Control (PIFC)” implemented by the Ministry of Finance of the French Republic in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, and secondly as a Junior Non-key Expert for Reporting and Monitoring within the project “Successful Implementation of EU Funded Projects Under Indirect Management System of EU Pre-accession Assistance”.
Sonja holds a Teacher of Spanish Language and Hispanic Literature degree from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade.
She is a native speaker of Serbo-Croatian, and she is fluent in English and Spanish.
