The Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group (BiEPAG) is a cooperation initiative of the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB) and Centre for the Southeast European Studies of the University of Graz (CSEES) with the aim to promote the European integration of the Western Balkans and the consolidation of democratic, open countries in the region.
BiEPAG is a group of experts engaged in research and analysis of political, economic and social trends and dynamics in the Balkans, Europe and beyond. Its goal is to influence the acceleration of the Western Balkans’ European integration, democratization, socio-economic transformation and better inter-ethnic relations. In order to achieve that goal, BiEPAG produces evidence-based policy proposals and advocates them with regional and European decision- and opinion-makers. To this end, BiEPAG is conceptualised as a platform to bring closer the various political and developmental stakeholders of the individual countries of the Western Balkans – on one side, and the bodies and branches of the European Union and the governments of its constituent countries – on the other.
