Four EFB members at Alpbach Political Symposium 2012

Four EFB Community members will take part in the Alpbach Political Symposium 2012, which will take place in Alpbach, Austria 26 - 28 August 2012. The title of the symposium is "Providing for Future Generations". This year's Alpbach Political Symposium, under the title ‘Providing for Future Generations’, will reflect upon current European politics, struggling to find quick solutions to complex problems created by the financial, economic and political crisis. The symposium aims to discuss issues beyond short-term political debates needed to be addressed in order to continue the vision of a united, democratic Europe. Which forms of participation can politics offer the young to win their support for the European project in times of growing nationalism? Questions like the future of the Union's foreign and security policy, along with issues in the fields of the environment, development and food—topics currently of particular importance—will be at the centre of discussion between high-level politicians, activists, researchers and Forum participants.
