'The Vicinities' TV show, which featured five TV policy debates that were broadcast on regional television throughout April and May is available now on http://www.youtube.com/user/Okruzenje. 'The Vicinity' is organized jointly by the European Fund for the Balkans and the Centre for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe. EFB Community members and former Leadership Development Programme and Fellowship Programme participants actively participated in the show. They were present during the first four episodes as the show audience but in the last episode they took an active part in creating and running the programme. Two of them, Nevena Jovanovic (Serbia) and Bozana Beslic (Croatia), were the hosts. Other EFB Community members, Bosiljka Vukovic (Montenegro), Aleksandar Jovanoski (Macedonia), Azra Becirovic and Dejan Radic (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Dejan Tonic, Srdjan Hercigonja, Tamara Brankovic, Vesna Jaric and Uros Zivkovic (Serbia), as youth representatives, expressed their views and opinions, giving answers and bringing more questions to the topic. ‘The Vicinity’ aims to gather people from throughout the region, from policy experts and analysts, representatives of the civil society and the government, to discuss and exchange ideas on different topics. The first edition includes five TV debates on issues like stereotypes, how to survive the economic crisis, media, the life of young people in the Balkans and the role of the great powers in the Balkans.
